The First Tee Scholars Program

"Address Your Future"
Are you about to enter your senior year in high school, or is your child?
If the answer is yes, then college is probably on your mind!!

In furtherance of its mission to impact the lives of young people, The First Tee developed a Scholars program offering participants the opportunity to receive recognition for exceptional achievement in the following areas:

Academics
Leadership Skills
Character Development
Chapter & Community Involvement

The First Tee Scholars Program provides qualified participants of The First Tee a gateway to a successful future through higher education. More than 20 colleges and universities throughout the United States have partnered with The First Tee, offering a range of merit-based scholarships that provide assistance with the expense of attending a college or university. Named scholarships donated by individuals and corporations are also awarded annually and can be used at any accredited institution.

Twice annually, Chapters report to the home office their participants who have earned all As and/or Bs (or the equivalent) on their report cards.  All participants, regardless of age, are eligible for this recognition.  At the end of each semester, participants should bring or Fax their report card to their Chapter.  A member of the staff should verify the grades. The home office pulls the current list from the database and creates high-quality certificates which are then signed by executive director Joe Louis Barrow, Jr.
